Arizona State University has partnered with the Abdulla Al Ghurair Foundation for Education to expand its Al Ghurair STEM Scholars Program to the United States. Through the program, the Foundation will offer scholarships to high-achieving Arab students who are in need of financial support to pursue master’s degrees in select STEM fields at ASU.
Scholarships cover tuition and other university expenses, housing, health insurance and a monthly allowance for other living expenses. In addition to financial support, Scholars will receive quality academic advising and career counselling, as well as opportunities to access community service and internships in their career fields.
The STEM master’s degree programs at the Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering and the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences offer Scholars the opportunity to build a strong academic foundation by working alongside internationally renowned faculty and gaining hands-on experience in cutting-edge facilities.
Scholars are immersed in a diverse, dynamic and enriching environment that fosters interdisciplinary inquiry. The STEM Scholars program provides transformational leadership programming that helps Scholars develop the skills necessary to advance their careers and realize their full potential to positively impact their communities.
ASU’s partnership with the Abdulla Al Ghurair Foundation for Education reflects our strong commitment to global engagement and a shared mission to increase access to high quality education for underserved populations. The Al Ghurair STEM Scholars Program extends educational opportunity to Arab students with demonstrated leadership and academic potential who have faced substantial barriers to educational attainment.
